First established in 1979, D Hartley Light Haulage was founded by Derek Hartley- a former milkman who made the leap of faith into haulage work. The company has since snowballed from several key jobs and today operates within the light haulage sectors of the industry, transporting joinery materials.
As of today, the organisation is run as a father and son combo by Derek and Darren who operate Iveco Daily curtain sided vehicles alongside Glen Fairburn- a company driver since 2006. D Hartley Light Haulage operates within the UK and has recently made specialist trips to Europe including Germany and Holland respectively.
Proud of the reliable and personal service they are able to offer, Partner Darren said, “We are flexible in any avenue we have to go down. We struggled through the 2008 recession but work picked up again. We’ve had customers who have been loyal to us for some 25 years which we are thankful for and demonstrates our excellent services.”
Darren and Derek also admitted that they would like to expand in-line with the industry and purchase more vehicles to add to their relatively small but dedicated and impressive fleet.
Additionally, D Hartley Light Haulage has participated at Truckfest in Peterborough, showing off their vintage looking livery.
D Hartley Light Haulage would like to thank all their new and old customers for their allegiances.
